The Montana CHALKSPRAY is a highly pigmented chalk-based paint designed for temporary markings and artistic projects. Whether you're marking a path for an event, creating temporary outdoor advertisements, or working on a studio canvas, this spray delivers a deep matte, high-coverage finish that mimics the look of traditional sidewalk chalk.
Think of it as the professional's version of sidewalk chalk—all the pigment, none of the scraped knuckles.

Durability & Removal
The longevity of the chalk depends entirely on the environment and the surface:
Outdoor Life: Usually lasts from a few weeks to several months.
Weathering: Heavy rain and high-traffic areas will cause the chalk to fade significantly faster.
Surfaces: Easily removable from non-porous surfaces (like glass or metal). On porous surfaces (like brick or stone), the pigments can settle into the grain, making removal much more difficult.
Cleaning: For removal outdoors, use water and a stiff brush for scrubbing, or a high-pressure power washer.
Artistic Flexibility
While it’s perfect for temporary outdoor work, the Montana CHALKSPRAY is surprisingly versatile for permanent art:
Permanent Option: If you use it on canvas, cardboard, or primed surfaces and then seal it with Varnish, the chalk effect becomes permanent.
Mixed Media: After spraying, you can further manipulate the wet paint with brushes, scrapers, or other tools for unique textures.
Precision Control: For finer lines, we recommend swapping the stock cap for Montana Level 3 or 4 caps. For filling large areas quickly, use Level 5 or 6 caps.
Application Note: Spraying chalk creates fine dust. Always wear a mask to avoid inhaling pigments and cover any surrounding objects you don’t want covered in chalk dust. Always test on an inconspicuous area if you plan on removing the paint later!
